a mess
There is a curse there must be, i never find peace. Or its just the consequence of wrong choices, one after the other. It was wrong to say yes to my son when he gave me his pregnant cat because my ex husband had threatened to kill them. He bullied us until one day i accepted and took her.
Shortly after she delivered three wonderful kitten, the second litter, she had already had four the year before. And two of them found homes but two females, Perla and Irma, not. So they all ended up at my home, even if i had already my own 8 cats. 6 extra cats in one row.
I usually end up in this mess because i am unable to say no.
I let them force me to take the cats.
Extra costs, extra work, extra mess, extra depression, extra hysteria. No time left for anything less. I must be insane, truly. I am, probably.
After a while i told him to take back at least Perla and Irma, but he agreed to take only one. And he had her neutered. Wisely.
Left me in the mess with the rest of the cat pack.
And now this incident, i hope it was one and the neighbour did not intentionally hit her, poor Ikora, she lost her foot first and over the next days she managed to eat the rest of the leg, (the vet told me they do, its horrible) and she is still the proud fierce and indipendent cat she was before and she refuses to stay in the house so she had me all last night and all day worried because i feared something terrible had happened to her, being alone around at night, with only three legs and a fresh wound. I wanted to keep her safe in the house but one second distraction and she is gone. Very clever cat, not so clever to avoid lawnmowers, though.
I had already given up hope when I heard her screaming on my balcony, she probably tried to save herself up there but Malka the bitch followed her and was harassing her.
The animals feel the weakness and take advantage of it. Same as with humans. never show your weakness or the pack of wolves will tear you in pieces.
Unless you are strong wolf and bite them in the balls.
Even if you are wounded.
Well she defended herself somehow but she was in big pain, the leg was bleeding again and i just made the first injection of my life. I never made one before, the vet had left me the siringe with the painkiller this morning, when we did not find her, so I used it and it quickly worked.
She calmed down now and is grooming herself, i locked all the cats outside, only Safira is allowed to stay with her as she is a kind cat and she would never be mean to a wounded princess.
I hope she will be fine, i had kind of a panic attack when i found her, the was bleeding again and the bone exposed. My daughter kept her nerves and held the cat while i was doing the injection.
Now that the adrenaline has dropped and everything is under control again i am miserable and i don't even have beer in the house.
I need a painkiller too.

Gotta love cats. Not every animal will feast on its own wounded leg. And not all animals want to tear an ex-friend apart simply because they were wounded. "Come on guys, let's destroy Ikora!" Cats have all the charm. And you have a herd of those disagreeable creatures. Actually, I don't hate cats, but after reading about them up above, they are not the nice cuddly things that I like to think of... Sort of like demons with fur.
