There are different kinds of depression. First, you need to identify what kind you have. Is it a chemical imbalance? If so, then that is often more serious than depression brought on by events or circumstances. If you have had a hard life with many terrible things in it, then only a fool would not be depressed at times, and the more crappy things you have faced, the harder it is to feel "happy" all the time. That is normal. Don't mistake sadness or simply feeling "down" with true depression. That message above my be how someone felt, but it is NOT the ultimate truth for most.
